Putting public health into practice
At Rollins, you’ll gain hands-on experience—and learn how to put public health into practice. Work with leading health organizations based in Atlanta and around the world. And enjoy a high job placement rate in both the public and private sector at leading institutions, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Booz Allen Hamilton, and the World Health Organization.
Global Field Experience (GFE)
As a Rollins student, you’ll get the opportunity to apply for our unique GFE financial award. Started to encourage those interested in global health to participate in supervised field training, the scholarship supports summer field experiences in low- and middle-income countries and facilitates the transfer of classroom knowledge to real-world experience. Past experiences have included areas such as HIV screening in Haitian prisons; Urban flooding and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) practices in Dhaka city slums; and the study of GPS technology and malaria outbreaks in rural Peru.
World-renowned faculty
Here, you’ll get to collaborate with award-winning faculty on international public health projects to improve health equity and address global issues such as HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child nutrition, humanitarian response, and more.
Research is at our core
Research is a cornerstone of our global health program. Our commitment to research excellence is evident in our funding from leading institutions—receiving nearly $23 million in grant funding in 2023—and in our focus on topics like emerging infections, access to healthcare services, and population health changes. This research-driven approach not only informs our curriculum, but also provides you with the cutting-edge knowledge and skills to turn insights into action.
